Wests Tigers skipper Brett Hodgson is in doubt for Sunday's crucial NRL match against South Sydney due to a leg injury.
The veteran fullback is battling a leg strain suffered in Monday night's loss to reigning premiers Melbourne.
Tigers coach Tim Sheens is likely to give Hodgson right up until game day to prove his fitness for the ANZ Stadium clash.
"We are hopeful with a Sunday game that he'll be right but it's a Monday to Sunday (turnaround), and he's not trained the other day or today, so it could be an issue for us," Sheens said.
Young utility Tim Moltzen trained with the Tigers today and will replace Hodgson at fullback if the captain is ruled out.
"He's got utility value also so if Brett does play young Tim will probably come into the squad somewhere as a back up," Sheens said of Moltzen.
The Tigers are in desperate need of a win to keep their finals hopes alive after losing four matches in a row, while the Rabbitohs are on a five-game winning streak and clawing their way back into finals contention.
