8th min TRY Jamie Soward grubbers, the ball hits the post and Ben Hornby is on the spot to score. A beautifully timed kick that gives young Broncos defenders no chance. Soward converts. Dragons 6 Broncos 0. Broncos lose ball and prop Dave Taylor picks up the pill in an off-side position. Soward kicks penalty.

Dragons 8 Broncos 0. Dean Young does it easy, barging over from dummy half despite a couple of Brisbane defenders hanging on. Soward lands the conversion.

Dragons 14 Broncos 0. Relief for the visitors, they're finally over. And it takes an excellent off-the-cuff move, resulting in Greg Eastwood slamming the ball on the stripe after stepping a defender. Ennis converts. Dragons 14 Broncos 6. Twin magic. Josh Morris gets a pass away in a tackle to identical twin Brett, who races 50 metres to score the Dragons' third. Soward nails conversion from out wide. Dragons 20 Broncos 6. is shaken after tackling David Stagg, whose elbow strikes the winger's cheek, close to the Dragons' line. Sailor rises gingerly and gets assistance from a trainer before shaking it off.

40th min DELL has to race back after Brisbane put a kick behind him as the hooter sounds. The big man tries to parry the ball away, but misses. It flies into touch anyway. Half-time, advantage Dragons. But, oh, no, a half-time check reveals Sailor has suffered a fractured cheekbone from his collision with Stagg. After four tackles and six hit-ups, his night is over.

48th min TRY Veteran Tonie Carroll is given a try by the video ref, which was a clear knock-on judging by his sheepish grin when it was awarded. Carroll had chased down a grubber. Dragons 20 Broncos 10. Jason Nightingale maintains his white line fever, bagging No.11 for the year and putting the Dragons on track for victory after scoring from a kick and quick spread. Dragons 24 Broncos 10. Make that 12 for Nightingale. The comp's leading try-scorer displays great skill in grounding the ball on his back out wide, after it goes through hands. Game over. Dragons 28 Broncos 10. The Broncos are shut down in their own quarter, the siren blows. Dragons continue their march up the ladder.
