RAIDERS chairman John McIntyre and chief executive Don Furner yesterday confirmed that findings from a club investigation into the latest off-field incident alleged to have involved Todd Carney will be presented to the board when it meets tomorrow.

The board will meet Carney and his manager David Riolo to discuss the troubled halfback's future. Carney is alleged to have been drinking and among a group expelled from the Goulburn Workers' Club on Saturday night.

He is believed to have attended a 50th birthday party before moving on to the club where he and his friends engaged in a verbal stoush with another group. Carney's friends believe the 22-year-old was the victim of a witch-hunt.

However, Furner said the club had no choice but to investigate the allegations.

After the publicity surrounding Carney's behaviour in a Canberra nightclub on July 20, when it was alleged he urinated on a member of the public, McIntyre said he was not surprised this latest incident had attracted attention.

"[The latest allegation is] obviously something that's going to be considered but I don't know what it is until we get the report from the [Workers'] club," McIntyre said.

A five-point ultimatum slapped on Carney by the club's management after the July 20 incident, includes a $20,000 fine, counselling, voluntary work, suspension from playing the rest of this season and a drinking ban.

Asked whether McIntyre thought the halfback could stick to the club's plan, he said, "We'll be doing our utmost to make sure that he does but I guess we can never have any guarantees that we can do it."

Furner maintains the club's sanctions are non-negotiable.

"We are waiting for Todd's manager to get back [from a skiing holiday] and give Todd a hearing on Thursday," he said.
